Giraffe Information

The giraffe is the tallest living land animal, usually standing at about 17 ft and weighing in at 1800-2600 lbs. Giraffes eat mostly leaves and acacia, and are found throughout the African Plains. They are known to drink and hold large amounts of water to help them survive in very dry climates. The giraffe lives around 20-30 years and gets by on only about 2 hours of sleep per day.
